Next Generation was among the first in Europe to launch a euro-pegged stablecoin under the newly effective MiCA regulations. We ran targeted manual outreach to the journalists actually covering that story, and turned a launch into an international news moment.
How we approached it
Next Generation had two strong assets to build a PR strategy around: established ties to fintech names Tempo France and DECTA, and the news itself, being among the first companies in Europe to launch a euro-pegged stablecoin under the newly effective MiCA regulations.
The story was genuinely newsworthy, so we led with the biggest crypto and fintech outlets first, knowing that smaller publications would organically pick up and re-syndicate coverage from there.
What we did
Rather than relying on automated press release wires where the story would have been lost in an endless feed, we manually identified and contacted editors and journalists across crypto, blockchain and fintech media who had actively covered stablecoins and MiCA in the previous six months.
From there, we ran a two-track outreach:
Editorial blast to major publications
A full press release with supporting assets sent to top-tier crypto and fintech outlets, giving editors everything they needed to run the story fast.
Personalised journalist pitches
Individually tailored pitches to reporters, referencing their recent work on stablecoins and MiCA, so the story landed as a natural follow-up rather than a cold send.
Why it worked: relevance. Every journalist we contacted had a recent byline on the exact topic, so the story arrived in the right inbox at the right moment.
